I know family photo sessions can sometimes feel a little intimidating, especially with little ones involved. That's why my sessions are go-with-the-flow. I want your family to be comfortable and have fun, while creating beautiful images

you will look back at for years to come.

Please don’t worry about perfectly posed moments or perfectly behaved kids. Some of the most meaningful photographs come from the quiet in-between moments: the cuddles, laughter, movement, and love you share naturally as a family. My goal is simply to create a calm space where you can be yourselves.

Let’s preserve these moments, and the people you love, just as they are.

The Process

Step 01

Planning

I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and I want you to feel confident and comfortable in choosing me as your photographer. Drop me a line here, and I'll get back to you so you can get booked and start preparing for your session!

Step 02

Connect

After booking your session, we will connect to discuss the details. This can be done by email, phone, or in person. I will get to know you, your family, and your vision for your photos so we can plan a session that is fully you.

Step 03

Your Session

When you join me for a session, we’ll create images that are a mix of posed photos and full of the little in‑between moments that matter. Whether your kids are little or becoming young adults, my desire is to make you feel comfortable and provide you with images you will cherish forever.

Step 04

Your Photos

After your session, I will carefully select the best photos for hand editing. This process takes approximately 2-4 weeks. When your photos are ready, I will send you a link to your private online gallery where you can view and download your high resolution images.

FAQ

Where do sessions take place?

During your pre-session consultation, we will discuss the type of images you want to create, and I will recommend locations that will allow us to achieve your vision. We can shoot at your favorite spot in your hometown, in your backyard, a forest preserve, or somewhere that just feels right.

What if my kids don't cooperate?

Then they don't, and we roll with it! Who said the photo session had to be sitting and smiling for an hour? Kids should have the freedom to have fun and be themselves. Give them permission to be playful, and their personalities will shine bright.

During the session itself, there’s no pressure for anyone to pose or behave perfectly. We’ll take things slowly, follow your family’s rhythm, play music, take breaks for snacks or toys if needed, and create space for everyone to simply enjoy being together. When we let go of expectations and allow kids to be who they are, we'll get our moments in return.

What should we wear?

Coordinated outfits help create a cohesive look without making everyone match too much. Think about the location--outfits should enhance, not clash with, the setting. Stick to timeless styles to keep your photos looking fresh for years to come. Instead of everyone wearing the exact same color, I recommend choosing 2-4 complementary colors that work well together. Some of my favorite combinations include:

Neutrals with a Pop of Color: Beige, cream, soft blues with a touch of mustard or burgundy.

Earth Tones: Olive green, rust, deep brown, and tan for a warm, cozy feel.

Classic & Elegant: Navy, gray, and soft whites for a timeless look.

Seasonal Palettes: Pastels for spring, warm tones for fall, and cool blues for winter.

How should we prepare?

Be sure to come to your session with everyone rested, fed and hydrated. Treat this like an event and don't have big plans the day of your session. Bring water and non-mess snacks. Avoid gummies, chocolate, or crumbly items, instead opt for cheerios, raisins, even mini marshmallows, white cheese (in case it gets stuck in their teeth), or a promise for a bigger treat later… I am not above bribery!

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A few days per month will be held for sessions that are postponed due to weather. Should we need to reschedule due to weather, I will open up makeup dates to you.

What time of day do sessions take place?

I typically schedule sessions 1–3 hours before sunset, depending on the location and type of session. For Classic sessions, you’ll be my only client that day, allowing me to give you my undivided attention and create a relaxed, intentional experience from beginning to end.
